Third Year Litigation Attorney - Courtroom Experience Required
Vethan Law Firm, P.C. (VLF) is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least three years of experience to join our Houston office. The qualified candidate will have previous courtroom experience (hearings, motions for summary judgment, trials, injunctions) with strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and a desire to accept significant responsibility and manage a challenging workload. The role will include special emphasis on commercial litigation from case inception, discovery and motion practice through mediation or trial.

We are a boutique Business Litigation and Intellectual Property Law Firm, with offices in Houston and San Antonio. Our clients are primarily business owners who have created a unique deliverable. They are forced to engage in litigation to protect their business and stop fiduciaries and senior management from illegally accessing and / or taking company information. We probably handle more injunctions than most firms in Harris County and Bexar County. Our cases usually involve high-stakes bet the business litigation. A familiarity with the rules of procedure and rules of evidence is a must.
About You:
o Exceptional Legal research and writing ability
o Detailed analysis of discovery including financial documents, contracts, and ESI to build the case.
o Conducted depositions including Apex and 30(b)(6) federal deposition.
o Prepared and argued summary judgement motions
o Involved in contested evidentiary hearing for injunctive matters
o Top 1/3 of your class in law school
o A positive attitude and curiosity about the law is a must.
Stress Management. While we encourage and active work-life balance, when we are preparing for trial, you will be expected to work long hours and be exact in your analysis and work. Outside activities, especially competitive activities, are encouraged, and should help you deal with the pressures of litigation.
Team Attitude. You must fit in with our team approach to litigation and transactional matters. These are all very complex matters and require extensive collaboration.

Compensation: $105,000.00 - $110,000 per year and performance bonuses are available for exceptional performance.
