Senior Data Archiving Analyst (InfoArchive): Become the Newest Member of the VF Family The Senior Data Archiving Analyst will play an integral role in VF’s newly formed Data Life Cycle Management team. The data life cycle team will manage the data throughout its life cycle: from creation and initial storage to the time when it becomes obsolete and is deleted while maintaining operational effectiveness and reducing risk. In this role, the Senior Analyst will partner with other members of the data life cycle team and application system owners to design and implement data lifecycle solutions. How You Will Make a Difference: Working with other data lifecycle specialists, SAP and IT personnel, evaluate VF SAP and other applications to determine the sizing and structure of the data, which data needs to be retained and for how long, and how it should be stored and accessed. Develop, Test and Implement a solution, utilizing InfoArchive and Archon software, that meets this archiving need for each application. Participate in Archiving projects and Agile stories/tasks, particularly SAP, as assigned. Assist in the Discovery, evaluation and sizing of existing application data for Brand Acquisitions and/or Divestitures, or any application being Retired Evaluate technical details of data for each application to be archived, using the Archon discovery tool, SAP mechanisms, and other standard IT tools (Which databases, which objects, size of DB’s, technical connections, formatting, field size, etc.) Map an InfoArchive structure to source application data for each archived application (one time or ongoing) based on identified requirements Develop/Configure and Unit Test an InfoArchive structure for each archived application, based on the Mapping, Archive Design and Archive Requirements. Recommend improvements to design as appropriate. Set up extraction and re-formatting criteria, connections and timing/jobs, in Archon (at the Object level) Create and Test InfoArchive inquiry screens and reports (generic, specific and Ad Hoc) meeting the User requirement for each application Utilize Archon extraction tool and/or SAP to select, extract, re-format and load data to InfoArchive, assuring “Chain of Custody” is maintained. Support System integration testing, User Testing and Regression Testing for each application or SAP Object, and resolve Issues discovered during these cycles timely Input to Archiving strategies and priorities within VF Input to Archiving Policies/Processes/Guidelines within VF Act as the owner of the Archiving environments. Monitor and maintain the WINDOWS based server environments (DEV, QA, PROD), approving and assisting with routine upgrades, managing installed software tools sets required, etc. Assist application users on data views Years of Related Professional Experience: 5 years IT experience, with direct experience utilizing an Industry standard Archiving application with SAP is required Educational/ Position Requirements: A solid understanding of application data structures, data mapping, job scheduling, data management processes and IT control processes is also required, particularly within SAP environments. Professional experience with OpenText InfoArchive would be a plus. Some experience or exposure to legal and regulatory compliance, and/or Auditing procedures, and/or the Apparel and Footwear industry would also be valuable. To be successful in this position will require flexibility, tenaciousness, and a willingness to work across multiple platforms and applications, especially SAP - as well confidence and comfort working directly with Business Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) from many Brands (The North Face, Vans, Timberland, Smartwool, Dickies, Jansport, etc.) and disciplines (Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, etc.) Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: Travel by air and overnight, as required 20% amount of time. Lifting and/or bending, lifting 10 lbs of weight. Pay Range: $88,000.00 USD - $132,000.00 USD annually Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
