Description
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating daily operations and planning procedures to mitigate risks and improve safety regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and programs.
- Advise and lead employees on various safety related topics.
- Conduct 1st Aid and other safety-related training as needed.
- Assist with day-to-day Environmental, Health, & Safety processes and requirements.
- Facilitate safety audit inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analysis.
- Perform inspections such as fire extinguishers, eye was stations, etc.
- Identify and communicate any possible safety gaps or hazards in the production facility.
- Monitor safety compliance throughout the organization.
- Assists in the preparation of reports on accidents, investigations, root causes and corrective action.
- Collaborate with ESH manager on developing facility and procedure/protocols in accordance with OSHA standards and regulations.
- Prepares reports on safety matrix, compliance, etc.
- Other duties required by management.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be team oriented to achieve a common goal.
- Must set and lead safety by example.
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
Qualifications
Education |
High school diploma or Equivalent (GED). |
Experience |
1 – 2 years in manufacturing. |
Certificates, Licenses or Registrations |
Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to our company’s insurance policy. |
Knowledge/ Skills/ and Abilities |
Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office applications) and other applicable safety programs. Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills.
