V H Ballet is a nonprofit, 501c3 organization whose mission is to help make dance and the arts readily accessible to all. We offer a scholarship program, special needs dance classes, and will offer community outreach programs.

We are located in Aurora, Illinois, and associated with VH Dance Center, where dancers begin instruction as young as 3 years of age. Our school specializes in professional ballet training in the Balanchine style, while also promoting positive body image and building self-esteem. Classes offered include classical ballet as well as multiple other styles of dance to provide a well-rounded dance education. Our program is ideal for dancers looking to pursue a professional career in ballet. We offer performance opportunities through the school, as well as with Von Heidecke's Chicago Festival Ballet, and a ballet competition company.

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated Stage Hand to assist before a dress rehearsal and after a performance on June 14 & 15th. You will need to assist with picking up costumes, sets and flooring from storage (Romeoville) on Friday, June 14th, and setting it up at the theatre in Joliet in time for the dress rehearsal. Hours on 6/14 begin about 3pm and finish approximately 5:30pm. On Saturday, 6/15, you will need to help break down the sets and pack up the sets and flooring, and return them to the storage locker after the performance. (beginning approximately 8pm). As a Stage Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the performance. If you have a passion for theater and enjoy working behind the scenes, this opportunity is perfect for you.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist with picking up sets, flooring and costumes from storage

- Setting up and dismantling stage equipment. Marley flooring and props

-Assisting with loading and unloading the truck at the storage locker and the theatre.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience in theater or live event production is preferred

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with the production team

- Knowledge of stage terminology and equipment
