What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at VI Resorts?
Position Summary:
The Security Guard will secure the premises by patrolling the property. The Security Guard is responsible for recording the names of visitors, patrolling the property, apprehending any trespassers.
To be successful, you will be alert, professional, aware of all visitors to the property and ensure gates, pools, access points are all secure as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that guests arriving after hours check in and check out guest completing their stay.
- While patrolling the property make guest aware of the rules that must be adhered to.
- Remove trespassers and unwanted individual from the property, contact authorities as necessary.
- Contact relevant authorities if a crime is committed or in the case of medical emergency.
- Notify Resort Manager or assigned contact person when issues happen at property
- Document and report any suspicious activities to the Resort Manager or Supervisor.
- Be available for guests after hours and provide assistance as necessary
- Patrol property by foot and/or golf cart
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school qualification or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license with ability to drive golf cart on property
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous security guard experience a plus
- Basic first aid & CPR certification preferred
Physical Demands of the Position:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and will often be required to lift 10 – 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
