What are the responsibilities and job description for the Devops position at Via?
We are looking for a Devops Engineer for our Mobile Group to automate our workflows and processes, evolve our service architecture, polish our CI/CD pipeline, deploy and maintain our service multi-cloud. You will be a core member of Via Engineering team. Via engineers are experienced, highly motivated, independent, fast learners, great problem solvers, and are super fun to work with.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain production CI/CD solutions for Via’s mobile apps
- Develop cloud based (mainly AWS) backend solutions for Via’s mobile teams using python programming language
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Find creative and robust solutions for various production challenges
Who You Are
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Good knowledge of Ruby or Python programming languages
- Proficient with git and git workflows
- Good knowledge of Jenkins build servers/Jenkins pipelines
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Good knowledge of Amazon Web services
- Problem-solving attitude
- Independent, able to deliver from design to production
- Collaborative team spirit
