Core equipment includes injection molding machines, molding robots and pickers, oil heaters, temperature controllers, water pumps, chillers systems, and air compressors  POSITION REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Strong mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatic maintenance skills, ability to troubleshoot and repair all production facility equipment.  Proficient in the following trades or skills: welding (MIG, TIG, Arc), electronics wiring, air compressor, diagnostics and repair, machine shop equipment, hydraulic circuits, and PLC logic very desirable.  Understand and carry out written and verbal instructions, Effectively prioritize and conduct duties with minimal supervision.  Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions where limited information exists. Read, write and understand English. Proficient with documenting work completed in report format. Medical device manufacturing experience a plus but not required. Knowledge of injection molding equipment a plus Ability to standing for long durations and able to lift at least 50 pounds. Willing to work overtime and weekends as required. Adhere to Viant’s expectations for maintaining and fostering a safe work environment and culture Repair, maintain and troubleshoot injection molding machines, automation, auxiliary equipment, grinders, dryers, etc.  Dismantle and inspect parts, rebuild and overhaul complete machines and troublesome machine components. Service and maintain molding robotics, hoists, power, and miscellaneous material handling equipment.  Maintain and repair plant systems to include plumbing, ventilation, exhaust equipment, compressors, etc.  Perform electrical repairs to machines and equipment. Diagnose electrical / electronic malfunctions.  Work from machine drawings (electrical, mechanical, etc.), plans, sketches, and layouts. Perform preventive maintenance activities on all production equipment in a timely manner. Use precision measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dividers, levels, micrometers, etc. This position may also have responsibility for some facility duties listed under the Facility Technician. Other projects and tasks as assigned   POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be at least 18 years of age Education: High School Diploma or GED (preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of techniques, tools, machines, equipment, fixtures Demonstrates good judgement, decision making abilities and potential for growth within the company  Light work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects with significant use of hands Excellent vision & hand-eye coordination Must be able to withstand extended periods of bending, lifting, standing, and sitting All Associates are required to report to their scheduled shift on time and work their entire shift.
