What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse-Cath Lab, Per Diem, Day Shift position at Victor Valley Community?
JOB TITLE: Cath Lab RN
REPORTS TO: Cath Lab RN Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: The Cardiac Catheterization RN is a registered nurse with advanced training and knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular system. A Cath Lab nurse performs a variety of duties may include but not limited to; circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of accredited Nursing Program preferred. BSN preferred. Two Year’s nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred. One (1) year Cath Lab experience is preferred. IABP, Angiojet and IVUS experience preferred. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring & x-ray equipment preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current California RN license and BLS required. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change. Basic Dysrhythmia within 120 days of hire or status change. RCIS preferred.
