Job Title: Warehouse Worker/Driver - Central Supply Dept./School: Central Supply
Employment Days: Non-exempt 261 Days Pay Grade: Classified Level 4

Primary Purpose:
To complete/fill and deliver orders requested by campuses and departments in a timely
manner and maintain an orderly warehouse.
Salary:$13.20-$19.00
Qualifications:
Education / Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Texas Driver’s License
Special Knowledge / Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to accurately count inventory, edit, and pull orders.
Ability to operate computer.
Ability to operate forklift/ heavy machinery.
Ability to operate truck with up to 1 ½ ton capacity.
Ability to lift 50 pounds plus.
Experience: Two years related warehouse work experience (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Maintain safe working conditions throughout warehouse area.
2. Monitor security for entrances/exits to safeguard District property.
3. Receive and take responsibility for supplies and equipment; compare actual quantities versus packing slip quantities; note damage and variances. Unload and load delivery trucks by hand, with pallet jack or fork lift as allowed.
4. Put stock away at designated locations; determine final destination or person to contact after receiving items for other departments.
5. Fill orders using automated pick-pack slips for inventory control.
6. Deliver supplies, books, equipment, etc. throughout District to departments and campuses.
7. Perform physical inventory of warehouse stock items.
8. Load District vehicles; deliver supplies and equipment to campuses and departments.
9. Pick up/deliver new and out of adoption textbooks as needed.
10. Pick up/deliver items designated for disposal/auction as needed.
11. Maintain warehouse and work area to insure good safety, fire safety and housekeeping practices.
12. Use computer to identify stock items, quantities, location and items in short supply.
13. Operate tools, equipment and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
14. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
15. Perform other duties assigned.

Computer, ladder, dolly, scaffolding, fork lift, pallet jack, box knife, small hand tools and delivery vehicles.

Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around machinery, moving vehicles, work on ladders. Exposure to dampness, heat and cold, humidity, and slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Frequent district wide travel.
