Social Media Manager

Description

Purpose:

Oversees the management of social media platforms for Victory Church at large and provides social media support to the Senior Pastors. Creatively directs and helps produce social media content (including copy, visual content, design, photography, video, etc.) to be used across multiple venues. 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Serve as the central point of contact for all Victory Church departments to distribute social media content and guide the use of that content across platforms. 
• Responsible to enforce brand guidelines and initiate strategic content creation for events, initiatives, and daily social engagement. 
• Establish and ensure tone and voice for each respective channel. 
• Foster continuity across the various platforms and creativity (in keeping with our brand) regarding content (images, language, video, etc.). 
• Collaborate with ministry leaders and campus social media managers to develop and evaluate social media strategy and create compelling content. 
• Advise ministry leaders about deployment and scheduling of content. 
• Recruit, train and oversee a volunteer team to produce visual content for social channels. 
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure media coverage outside of standard working hours. 
• Attend planning meetings as requested. 
• Edit video clips to be optimized for social channels. 
• Constantly maintain knowledge and awareness of social trends and social media best practices. 
• Create and evaluate strategy to increase engagement and organizational growth on social platforms. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must provide a portfolio of social media content for review 
• 2 years similar experience preferred 
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop 
• Knowledge of video editing software 
• Familiarity with social media scheduling software (Hootsuite, etc.). 
• Knowledge of both Mac environment and Microsoft Office 365 software. 
• Reliable transportation 
• Flexible availability (weekends and evenings) 
• Ability to coordinate across a team of volunteers and/or contractors 
• Ability to coordinate across different departments
