TDC Facilities Assistant
Position Status: Full-time
Classification: Non-exempt
SUMMARY
The Tulsa Dream Center’s Facilities Assistant is responsible for overseeing the safety and maintenance of the Tulsa Dream Center property and ensuring that the building and grounds follow all applicable regulations. Duties include assisting with improvements to the property as needed to ensure a safe, functional, and appealing space.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with maintaining a safe environment with proper lighting, signage, and disability access.
- Performs maintenance and handyman tasks throughout the building including: cleaning and building repair.
- Assists with grounds and new building projects as needed.
- Ensuring that occupants are provided with proper utilities
- Assisting and performing duties for building improvements
- Inspecting the building frequently for signs of damage or wear
- Order building supplies in a timely manner.
- Ensure that facility and equipment is thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
- Maintains the Tulsa Dream Center’s protocols, policies and procedures.
- Performs and maintains tasks with an appropriate level of confidentiality.
- Models the standard of personal and professional that is expected of all the Dream Center Team staff members as outlined.
- Supports and adheres to the mission, vision, values, and philosophy of the Tulsa Dream Center.
- Submits to and supports the leadership of the Tulsa Dream Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of Building Codes and Safety Regulations
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate degree in Business Administration or Real Estate, is preferred
- Forklift Operation Certification preferred.
- Prefer one (1) to three (3) years of Maintenance Experience or similar role.
- Capable of leading and supervising a team comprised of culturally, ethnically, and generationally diverse individuals.
- Experience with janitorial processes preferred.
- Established interpersonal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Lift 70 pounds individually.
- Standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and navigating tight spaces and heights.
- Considerable use of arms, legs and whole body.
- Seasonal climate extremes of hot or cold.
- Proficient in oral and written communications.
