Job Summary:
The Human Resources Associate will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Performs periodic audits of human resources files to ensure all necessary documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and information.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all managers and employees, answering questions regarding human resource-related information and functions.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to onboarding staff and staff changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and leave of absences.
- Assist in payroll processing, including but not limited to entering payroll, expenses, and 401(k).
- Conducts and/or acquires various onboarding processes for new employees, including background checks, IT credentials, Drug/Alcohol testing, Deltek training, Costpoint timekeeping and expense reporting, Leadership Quiz, etc.
- Provides official “Welcome Letter” to new employees, including applicable information and onboarding instructions.
- Tracks onboarding tasks to ensure timely completion by employees.
- Welcomes new employees by conducting or assisting with new hire orientation in the office and/or by monthly ZOOM/Team meetings.
- Assist in maintaining the Employee Handbook and any updates to the Employee Handbook.
- Participate in company-wide information meetings for topics such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or other benefits plans.
- Answers frequently asked questions from employees, relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions to Human Resource Manager.
- Assist in maintaining job descriptions for all jobs in each department, making necessary changes as directed by management.
- Tracks employees' Job Performance Review (JPR) dates and communicates to managers which employees’ evaluations are due to be processed if not completed in a timely manner.
- Provides clerical support to the Human Resource Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Three years of office experience preferred, with at least one year in human resources highly preferred.
- Must be a US citizen
