Controller
VIKTOS LLC, a locally owned and rapidly growing Tactical Apparel company is looking for a driven, organized, resourceful, self-motivated critical thinking Controller to work independently and cross functionally with our executive team. This is a full time position located in Janesville Wisconsin and reports directly to the President.
This role is a very “hands on” position, responsible for preparation and maintenance of financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and related financial activities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide variety of duties with minimal supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements and statement of cash flow
- Maintains the general ledger, Financial Statements, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from the bank
- Prepare cost analysis and ratio analysis reports for management
- Compiling Import shipment costs and calculating landed costs of imported goods.
- Manage multiple state sales tax Nexus compliance
- Provides outside accountants with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to complete annual tax returns
- Processes & Manages payables, receivables and other duties
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite programs/Microsoft Certified
- Experience with Fishbowl Inventory Management program a plus
- Strong analytical skill and business knowledge
- Application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to research, analyze and retrieve data necessary to complete duties
- Detail and Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency
- Skilled at managing time and multiple priorities to carry out assignments in a timely and thorough manner; to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to work & communicate effectively and collaboratively with cross functional teams
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Education and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting at a senior level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred
