The Village of Kronenwetter is excited to announce that it is recruiting for an Account Clerk.
Under the general supervision of the Finance Director/Treasurer, this position is responsible for administering the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes of the Village, co-managing the front office business activities of the Village Front office, assisting with financial recordkeeping, reporting, reconciling of Village records, and providing administrative support to the Finance Director and other Departments as assigned. Administration of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes include serving as the primary point of contact for staff and vendors questions, preparing, verifying and processing all non-utility and payments and receipts. Co-managing the front office business activities of the Village includes working with other staff to provide excellent customer service and accurate information while issuing various permits and licenses, answering general office phone line, responding to counter walk ups, emails, and other correspondence received by the Village. Financial recordkeeping, includes maintaining accurate files, coordinating and updating various tracking sheets, preparing and issuing information and providing supporting documentation for financial transactions.
Providing administrative support includes preparing materials, attending meetings, researching and investigating questions, etc. as well as working as an as integral member of the Village team, contributing to the operational objectives of the Village and promoting and projecting the Village’s commitment as a customer-focused organization.
The Village is looking for a self-starter that is able to manage their time efficiently, solve utility customer problems, and work as part of a team staffing the front office of the Village. Candidates with prior experience in a customer-oriented position that dealt with customer accounts will be strongly considered.
The Village is offering a wage scale with an introductory wage of $15.73 for this first six months which increases to $19.66 an hour. The Village offers a comprehensive benefit package, with health insurance, dental, vision, short-term disability and life insurance. The position also participates in the
Wisconsin Retirement Pension. This position is a union represented position. Wages have not been adjusted for cost of living for 2022 and are in the process of being reviewed.
