What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Village of Mattawan?
Position is responsible for handling clerical/administrative duties that relate to operations conducted at Village Hall. Operations include Village Manager, Clerk, Police Department and Department of Public Works.
Responsibilities:
- Customer assistance in person, on the phone or by email.
- Assist with utility billing processes.
- Process building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits
- Process invoices for payables.
- Collect, open and distribute mail
- Administrative support functions such as filing, copying, faxing etc
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED equivalency
- One year of experience in office setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong teamwork mentality
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel. BS&A System desired.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and website updating helpful.
