What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Resources Instructor position at Vincennes University?
The College of Technology at Vincennes University is seeking applications for a Land Resources Department instructor. This is a 9-month, full-time position with benefits located in Vincennes, IN. This position reports to the Department Chair of Land Resources and the Dean of Technology.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in various aspects of construction, architecture, and surveying, and have a vision and desire to build strong programs in any of the Land Resources Programs offered (architecture, construction, and surveying).
- Teaching courses in Architecture, Construction, and/or Surveying Technology.
- Working collaboratively within the Land Resources Department
- Assessing student progress and submitting grades as required
- Program assessment and all related tasks
- Assisting with contests and other events relating to the department
- Obtaining instructional supplies for classrooms and labs
- Maintaining lab equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of Associate Degree in Architecture, Construction, Surveying or related field
- Minimum three years work-related experience
- Broad range of skills and knowledge of the construction and/or architectural design industry.
- Computer skills – word processing, presentation software (Blackboard a plus)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Verifiable employment record, as well as good references
