What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastor of Congregation Care position at Vineyard Christian Fellowship?
Our Congregant Care Pastor (CCP) leads a team with the goal of getting congregants growing by taking their next step to connect with God, community, and their purpose. The Congregant Care area includes four areas: visitor next steps, newcomer class, volunteer engagement, and pastoral care.
Through collaborative leadership, the CCP will develop the vision, strategies, and systems to ensure congregants are responded to, personally connected with, and helped along their journey of connection and discipleship across our six campuses.

What you’ll do:
- · Set the spiritual tone and direction for the Congregant Care Ministry
- · Design, develop, and implement strategies and systems that align our assimilation and serve ministries with the church’s mission, vision, and values in mind
- · Communicate vision and plans to staff, pastors, volunteers, and program participants
- · Utilize benchmarks to identify and implement opportunities, improve impact and grow ministry teams
- · Lead collaborative teams that plan and execute ministry strategies
- · Provide pastoral care and invest in the spiritual transformation of church congregants
- · Collaborate and support weekend ministries
What you bring:
- · 5 years’ experience in leadership positions at a church or para-church ministry
- · Degree in relevant field preferred. Will consider combination of equivalent experience and education
- · Demonstrated strategic abilities including managing systems, planning and budgets
- · Experience with customer/congregant relationship management software
- · 3 years’ experience supervising a team
- · 3 years’ experience in recruiting, leading, training and supervising volunteer teams
- · Demonstrated Kingdom theology and practice
- · Deep knowledge and embodiment in practice of the Scriptures and demonstrated ability to communicate biblical truths in various contexts
- · Intermediate knowledge of office technology tools
- · Customer relationship management software
