Position description: Under the general supervision of the Help Me Grow director; this individual will have experience in early childhood development. Provide parent education, child development information, and screenings, as well as assisting in playgroups, and community outreach projects. Ability to work with local agencies making referrals when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications and Characteristics: A minimum of high school graduate with early childhood experience. Must be eligible for credentialing through the Ohio Department of Health. Must pass a background check and drug test, have a valid driver’s license and car insurance. Excellent communication skills, ability to work with at risk families in their home environment. Computer, time management, and organizational skills a must.
Salary Range for Vinton County Home Visitor/Parents as Teachers: $16.00 per hour, depending upon experience and education.
