What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Violi?
DineAmic Hospitality is hiring Bartenders across all of our brands. DineAmic bartenders ensure that our guests have an extraordinary food and beverage experience from the moment they arrive until they depart. Bartenders will prepare a variety of beverages, including hand-crafted, from-scratch cocktails developed by our Corporate Mixologist, while interacting with guests to answer questions, take orders, and deliver food and drink. What You Will Do
- Nurture an excellent guest experience by interacting with guests in a personable and professional manner
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to company standards for bar and restaurant guests
- Develop an efficient work pace to deliver orders in a timely manner
- Assess customer needs and preferences and become well-versed in our menu items in order to field questions and make recommendations with a personal touch that is unmatched
- Process orders and payments accurately and efficiently adhering to proper cash and credit card handling policies and procedures
- Maintain a calm demeanor and keep the bar operating to standards during periods of high volume
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly; Maintain and comply with state sanitation/health regulations
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
What You Need to Have
- 2 years’ experience as a bartender in a fine dining and/or high-volume restaurant required
- Excellent working knowledge of drink recipes, classes of alcohol, style of glasses, brand names, garnishments, and more
- Certification from a bartending school, mixology program, or equivalent preferred
- Experience utilizing POS software (Micros and Toast preferred)
- Knowledge of all local health department requirements for safe food handling and sanitation standards; Knowledge of responsible and legal alcoholic beverage service; Non-expired Food Handlers and Basset Certification required
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- A passion for quality and respect for team members and guests
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance; Stand or Walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift; Complete tasks that require repetitive motion
