Be the Job Coach that is going to change the lives of others! We are looking for a Job Coach to work within the Rialto area. VIP's Job Coaches have assisted thousands of adults with intellectual disabilities (Clients) over the past 37 years! The VIP goal is to maximize the potential of each of our clients, and to put them in the best position possible for independence and success. Job Coaches are responsible for the direct assistance, guidance, and training of 3-4 clients in their day-to-day employment tasks which are done at a separate employer site. Although VIP stands for Vocational Improvement Program, our Job Coaches truly are Very Important People, and we look forward to meeting our next one!
What You'll Do
- Work alongside a group of clients (3-4 individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities) at various facilities.
- Coach, assist, and support these individuals in learning and excelling in their job functions.
- Ensure productivity timelines and quotas are being met daily/weekly by all members of the group.
- Assess clients’ vocational strengths and training opportunities.
- Provide documentation of assessments and performance.
- Communicate progress with case managers and supervisors to ensure client success.
- Maintain a professional relationship among group members and the job site employer.
Who You Are
- Someone who has open availability.
- Someone who has a valid California Driver's License and auto insurance.
- Someone who can adjust to schedule, job task, and job site changes quickly.
- Someone with a high school diploma or GED.
- Someone with reliable transportation.
- Someone who has previous experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or is eager to learn how to work with these individuals!
- Someone with various job skills, preferably production and janitorial knowledge.
