Job Description

Love driving cars? Fast on your feet? Start your job as a valet today! Valet attendants will stand in front of the establishment welcoming guests to the location. The valet attendant will issue the customer a claim ticket and get the keys from the drivers. After helping the customer with any needed assistance, the valet will then drive the car to a parking location. When the car owner returns, valets run to retrieve the car and help the owner/passengers into the car.

Job Requirements

  • Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • License Requirement: Due to our insurance policy employees will be required to have and maintain a valid state driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record (< 4 points).
  • Language Skills: Employees must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company.
  • Customer Service Skills: The ability to effectively respond positively to customer problems or complaints.
  • Appearance: Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
  • Minimum age requirement: Due to our insurance policy all drivers must be at least 18 years of age to operate vehicles.
  • Physical Demands: To perform the duties of being a valet correctly, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time to park and retrieve customer vehicles. VIP Valet is a year-round business that operates 365 days per year in all weather conditions. Employees must be able to handle the Cleveland elements. Employees will occasionally have to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
