THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for you! Our VIPcare Dental team in Lutz is seeking a Dental Assistant with experience in general dentistry. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, enthusiastic and self motivated team member to join our quality focused clinic!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare a treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education quality and treatment.
- Assists dentist and hygienist in quality diagnosis through x-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
- Take impressions of patient's teethHelps ensure efficient and profitable operations by seeking patient referrals,
- Maintaining equipment, utilizing supplies cost effectively, and posting patient charges accurately.
- Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
- Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing patient.
- Provide patient with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
- Forming preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
- Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Improving your clinical skills and acumen through participation in continuing education and training opportunities offered
EDUCATION & SKILLS:
- Certified or Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Florida
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Persistence to achieve goals and hard work STRONGLY valued
- Vision to provide quality care required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, and results-oriented capabilities
- Ability to work in a shifting and fast-paced environment
