Oral Surgeon
The Oral Surgeon performs surgery and other related procedures on the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions to treat diseases, injuries, or defects. May diagnose problems of the oral and maxillofacial regions. May perform surgery to improve function and/ or appearance.
JOB DUTIES:
- Educating patients on oral healthcare
- Examining teeth and diagnosing oral diseases using tools such as z-rays.
- Promoting oral health and disease prevention.
- Creating treatment plans to maintain or restore the oral health of patients.
- Interpreting x-rays and diagnostic tests.
- Ensuring the safe administration of anesthetics.
- Monitoring growth and development of teeth and jaw.
- Performing surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
- Carrying out agreed clinical treatments such as restoration of teeth affected by disease or decay.
- Trauma surgery

- Maintaining patients’ dental records.
- Keeping abreast of new developments through structured continuing professional development (CPD).
- Marketing services to potential clients.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- DDS/DMD from accredited university
- State practice license
- CPR Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Additional professional experience
- Additional professional related certifications

- Extensive knowledge of practice
- Interpersonal Skills
- Punctuality
- Ability to handle high pace environment
