THE OPPORTUNITY
This Team Member will perform strategic and operational duties in collaboration with various teams to support the team and desired functional outcomes by executing strategy, planning, and management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and improve quality and efficiency of medical care in designated region(s) based on Medicare and Medicare Advantage requirements
- Review clinical scenarios and provide coaching and feedback when necessary
- Implement region-specific initiatives and ensure that processes and procedures are aligned with the purpose of VIPcare
- Drive improvement of quality indicators in designated regions
- Plan and participate in performance forums, as needed
- Lead the Health Services team to support new innovative approaches to making healthcare more efficient and meaningful to PCPs and patients alike
- Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of performance improvement activities, such as quality assurance, peer review, and staff development
- Perform all other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives as assigned
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O)
- At least 5 years of clinical experience
- Active, unrestricted medical license in applicable state(s), or ability to obtain licenses rapidly
- 2 years of managed care experience preferred
- Current board certification preferred
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, and results-oriented capabilities
- Must be able to work professionally with confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Ability to shift focus, multi-task, and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong reasoning and critical thinking are required.
- Must be results-oriented with a focus on quality execution and delivery.
