IT Technician II

Viper Northwest has a tenured staff of highly skilled manufacturing and technical professionals who manufacture capital equipment and OEM components for a variety of high tech industries. We also provide engineering design assistance and verification, as well as drafting services and we are looking for skilled individuals to join our team!

While not inclusive, this position will provide support in the following areas of the IT Department:
Summary:
Working under limited supervision, the IT Technician, I holds responsibility for various information technology task such as troubleshooting and upgrades, first line of troubleshooting trouble tickets, office application support, PC support, virus removal and various IT related task.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the remote, phone or email.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided.
- Walk through the problem-solving process
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Provide accurate information on IT products or services
- Record events and problems and their resolution in IT ticketing system
- Follow-up and update customer status and information
- Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
- Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
Education/Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of technical education or experience in a similar industry
- Demonstrate initiative and exhibit strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Detail oriented and organized, with ability to work at a high level of accuracy
- Familiar with ERP systems and intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Work Setting:
- General office setting with typical moderate noise levels in a temperature controlled environment. Operates office equipment (computer, fax, copier, phone) as required to perform essential job functions.
Hours for the position:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
