- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Certifications and Licensure
- PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License
Experience
- Prior Acute care setting experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The Adult Progressive/Telemetry Unit is a 32-bed unit with capabilities for telemetry cardiac monitoring. The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular disorders and cardio-respiratory conditions.
- The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including, but not limited to general surgery and cardiovascular surgery. Cardiovascular intervention/procedural patients (post cardiac stent, cardiac device placement, etc.) are often placed on this unit.
- Medical and/or surgical patients requiring a more intensive level of care, as well as cardiac monitoring may be PCU level of care.
- Examples of the PCU level of care include but are not limited to vasoactive drug administration, invasive monitoring, advanced sepsis, and DKA.
