Assembler

Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible assembling of display fixtures with the use of mechanical power tools such as a drill on the assembly production line. They verify the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items. Supports the department with general production needs at the direction of the assembly lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble product such as display fixtures with hand and power tools.
• Follow safety protocol and processes.
• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
• Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
• Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
• Follow company procedures and directives.
• Test finished products for defects.
• Maintain the tools used to create products.
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Good communication skills
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to operate power tools safely
• Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings
• Willingness to work in flexible shifts

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and walk and climb stairs
• Varying work schedules to meet client demand is sometimes required
