SKILLED LABORER
A Skilled Laborer performs any combination of the following duties on construction projects, usually working in utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision. Tasks include but are not limited to: measuring distances from grade stakes, driving stakes, and stretching tight line, bolting, nailing, aligning, and blocking up under forms ; signaling operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications; leveling earth to line grade specifications, using pick and shovel; Mixing concrete and applying caulking compounds. Employee must perform a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, mounting pipe hangers, cutting and attaching insulating material. Employee may occasionally exert 50-100 pounds of force and
10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employee is required to lift, carry, push and pull in standing, walking and sitting positions.
Work is usually performed with other workers. May perform incidental work items included within other crafts. May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and have the ability to adjust to a flexible work schedule as working overtime may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
