Virginia Eagle Distributing, a leading beverage distributor, is looking for a Business Systems Manager to join our team. The Business Systems Manager will facilitate and manage projects by serving as the liaison for users and developers. This role is responsible for communicating goals and evaluating results as requested.
The ideal candidate has a curious mind and enjoys taking a challenging problem, breaking it down into sections, reviewing the information, and asking the right questions. This person must have exceptional people skills as well as creative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage – Primary manager for Route Accounting System (RAS). Company uses Vermont Information Processing (VIP). Includes maintenance of products (SKUs), setup, pricing, and promotions.
- Develop and communicate – Develop and communicate detailed specifications for implementation while maintaining company expectations. Produce reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, customers, investors, and other relevant parties.
- Collaborate – Work closely with colleagues to understand technical needs. Understand how any disruptions will potentially change a project and affect the business. Communicate with team leads to ensure client satisfaction, and provide recommendations as needed.
Requirements:
- College Degree required. Prefer a degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
- Must possess MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook and specific beer wholesaler and software operating capabilities. Prefer experience with VIP systems. Expert in Excel with experience in macros and pivot tables preferred.
- Must be able to navigate the Internet and various propriety websites.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must meet physical requirements, including sight, hearing, keyboard typing, and operation and ability to sit upright for up to 10 hours a day.
- Must be able to communicate utilizing the English language in verbal and written form.
- Must be able to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must not have a criminal history with a felony conviction or plead of no contest to a felony.
- Must be able to prioritize assigned work and meet changing deadlines.
- Must be available to work flexible hours.
