Position Description and Responsibilities
The Harm Reduction Outreach Worker will distribute harm reduction supplies to clients and educate them on preventing and reversing drug overdoses and preventing and detecting drug use-related infections. Additional responsibilities will include packaging supplies for distribution, entering client and encounter data into our secure system, driving to outreach locations and transporting clients to access services. The Harm Reduction Outreach Worker will work out of our Patrick County office and provide mobile outreach in Patrick County, Franklin County, and Martinsville-Henry County. He/She/They will drive VHRC's van to outreach locations and occasionally use their own vehicle to transport clients to access services. A personal vehicle, satisfactory driving record, and willingness to travel up to 500 miles per week are required for this position.

Job Type: Full-time position, 35 to 40 hours per week
Compensation: $17.50 per hour plus mileage; health insurance coverage; paid holidays, vacations, and sick days
Requirements: Valid Virginia driver’s license, own vehicle, satisfactory driving record
