Responsibilities
The role of the RN Operations Manager in our Urology and Wound Care clinics is to make day-to-day decisions in meeting staffing needs to meet patient demand for services. The role includes facilitating the interview process, hiring management, performance management, competency assessment and development, and counseling of staff. The RN Operations Manager represents nursing in the local clinic leadership and within the departmental service line at the organizational level. This position sets direction for all clinic operations in collaboration with other members of the management team (physicians, section head, supervisors and VMMC management).
In conjunction with the Administrative Director oversees administrative functions of the clinic including operations, marketing, facilities, finance, human resources, and planning and development.
Directs and oversees the work of multidisciplinary practice to ensure smooth flow of operations. Develops, modifies, implements, and evaluates operational processes for the section. Assigns and changes priorities within the work unit to assure exceptional customer service. Supports the patient scheduling process, assessing patient flow and supply ordering.
Provides clinical oversight for nursing, medical assistants, and other ancillary staff. Acts as a clinical resource for nursing, medical assistants, and other ancillary staff in daily operations in collaboration with the clinic leadership team.
Performs all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment and retention, analyzing staff mix and deploying staff, ensuring competency of staff through development and regular evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.
Assist with budget development and management and forecasting with future staffing needs relative to patient demand. Ensures cost-effective daily operations and allocation of resources to optimize available staff with demand for services. Monitors performance of plan and adjusts as needed.
Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through. Manages day to day patient satisfaction concerns. Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective care is delivered.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in nursing and three years of experience as a nurse supervisor, assistant nurse manager, or nurse manager. Requires a Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington.

- Uses VMPS to identify a problem, route cause, and engages the team in solutions.
Preferred: masters degree with Ambulatory clinic experience.

$56.58 per hour - $82.04 per hour
