Solution Architect at VirtualHealth:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solution Architect to join our dynamic team, focused on revolutionizing healthcare data integration. As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and enhancement of data integration pipelines that facilitate seamless information exchange in the healthcare industry. Your expertise will contribute to improving interoperability, compliance with HL7 Standards, and the overall efficiency of healthcare data systems.

Responsibilities:

As a  Solution Architect reporting to the Director, Solutions Architecture, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at enhancing and maintaining a strong data integration and interoperability framework by guiding the development and direction of HELIOShub. Your key duties will include:

• Data Integration Pipeline Analysis and Design:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data integration requirements and design scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines using a product-centric approach.
• First Implementation of New Features:
  • Lead the initial implementation of new features and functionalities, ensuring their alignment with architectural principles and design patterns.
• Client Engagement and Interoperability Requirements:
  • Engage with a wide range of clients to understand their interoperability needs and translate them into technical solutions that address their unique challenges while furthering the capabilities of HELIOShub.
• Guidance on SMART on FHIR Functionality:
  • Provide expert guidance and direction on the integration and utilization of SMART on FHIR functionality, ensuring seamless integration with healthcare systems.
• Enhancement of FHIR Functionality:
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of existing FHIR functionality in accordance with HL7 Standards, aiming for higher data quality and system efficiency.
• Data Transformation Functions:
  • Develop and maintain data transformation functions that enable the seamless conversion of healthcare data formats, ensuring accurate and reliable data exchange.
• Assistance in Development and Testing:
  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to assist in the development, implementation, and testing of new data integration functionality.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for designs, implementations, and best practices. Share your expertise with the team through presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Emerging Technologies and Trends:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in healthcare data integration and interoperability. Apply your knowledge to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Ensure the Product Roadmap accounts for upcoming compliance requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience (5 years) as a Solution Architect or Implementation Lead, particularly in healthcare data integration and interoperability.
• In-depth understanding of HL7 Standards, FHIR, and SMART on FHIR protocols.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing complex data integration pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with healthcare information systems and EHR/EMR platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., HL7 FHIR, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
