Job Description


Can be hired for any of these locations, San Francisco , Foster City, Austin, Miami, New York

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

The Regional Product and Solutions center of excellence is a new team at Visa, working across the five regional teams servicing our clients in market. The regional teams serve as a bridge between Global Product and Sales and are rapidly evolving to better serve the changing needs of both these core constituents. There are a number of formal touchpoints between Global Product, Global BPO, and the Regional Product team, and this role will focus on coordination across these various touchpoints – building out process, interlocking with the VAS organization as it forms, and working across the annual operating cycle of the business to ensure and efficient, productive and value-adding outcomes for the Regional Product team and the business as a whole.

Essential Functions

Design and implement new process to ensure cross-regional and global prioritization

  • Design and implement processes for in-region and more importantly, cross-regional prioritization
  • Work with the Global Product organization to tightly couple regional and global prioritizations, driving awareness and adoption of new processes and tools related to Reimagine Work such as Jira Align

Implement systems where regional aggregation will be value add to both Regions and Global

  • Consolidate regional inputs into processes informing new product development and market needs
  • Bridge global and regional Business Operations teams on all aspects related to the annual operating cycle (e.g., AOP, MSO, Goal setting, Workforce Planning, Performance Management etc.), working in lockstep with the Global Product COO organization
  • Drive consistency, accuracy and predictability against targets via improved data gathering, in alignment with GBO, the VAS Commercial Ops and VAS COO teams
  • Work with BPOs and Regional Product leadership to drive proactively targeted business enhancement initiatives
  • Facilitate sharing and scaling of best practices across regions
  • Coordinate with Global and Regions across information requirements for Business Portfolio Reviews and other formal readouts.
  • Stay aligned and coordinated with New Flows to ensure market teams operate within a consistent framework and coordinated set of asks

In addition, the role will drive partnership with the various transformation efforts across Visa to ensure regional adoption and alignment, on initiatives such as,

  • Sales Operating Model and Sales Excellence
  • Product Transformation work
  • Reimagining Work at Visa

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6plus years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10plus years of experience successfully developing, building, launching and commercializing technology products. Experience working in an Agile organization a plus. Experience in FinTech, Financial Services or payments highly preferred.
  • Highly-skilled communicator with the ability to simplify the complex. Expertly able to build rapport and influence across all levels of an organization to achieve alignment and drive action to outcomes. Experience working with global or distributed teams required.
  • Proven product delivery or commercialization experience in a global context preferred.
  • Past functional experience or engagement with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success Professional Services, or Consulting. Experience in a client-facing role a plus.
  • Keen understanding of how to build pragmatic processes and drive adoption, experience in Change Management a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to drive to desired outcomes within complex, matrixed, global organizations, building out process, structure and frameworks where none exists today.
