Visa University Payments College is seeking, a Director, Operations and Client Delivery. This role is client facing and will be responsible for overseeing and management of learning products including all activities driving the delivery of the existing global program either in-person or virtually. This role will include management of a delivery team who will be responsible for updating the delivery platform and all necessary activity to support in-person events. The position will report to the Senior Director, Operations and Strategy.
Key Responsibilities Include -
- Build the infrastructure for the business planning and delivery to support critical business timelines and ensure sub teams are meeting the requirements and commitments to support both in-person and virtual global events.
- Manage the cross functional working team to ensure all aspects of the program including venue, vendors, consultants, speakers/SME, project plan, and delivery.
- Responsible for the coordination of activities including registration, participant communication, venue activities, and support for participants.
- Create and implement an annual delivery roadmap for both in-person and virtual programs.
- Ensure customer and stakeholder voices are heard and clear priorities are set.
- Establish project management standards including budget, pre-event planning, event, and post event activities.
- Coordinate events agenda, including participant activities and presentations. Ensure presentations are within Visa standards/legally approved and formatted to hand-off to production vendor. Provide necessary feedback to presenters.
- Onsite coordinator with project team to support event including venue, participants, speakers/rehearsals, and production/vendors/consultants
- Manage cross functional resources appropriately to meet all deliverables and adapt to dynamic market and schedule demands on time and within budget to support both virtual events.
- Manage platform vendor (Intrepid) to deliver virtual course curriculum within the platform.
- Maintain a centralized repository of moderation guides, communication plans, gamification, tools and technologies, documentation and any policies and procedures
- Establish and track performance reporting including surveys and communication plan.
- Support and drive the development of consistent standards and processes across the team to effectively advocate for operational excellence
- Identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency opportunities
- Operate as an event operation working directly with multiple stakeholders to streamline organization processes and procedures
- Look for new opportunities, innovations and insights within the company and industry to provide visibility into emerging trends and innovations.
- Define and deliver operational reporting that provide strategic insights, ensure and track success against internal KPIs and other key metrics to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Work with delivery, operations, and production teams to monitor and measure learning products to improve (accuracy and efficacy) and drive customer satisfaction and support a seamless delivery throughout the program
- Contribute to and support continual process improvement by proposing optimizations for any aspect of product management, development, readiness, and lifecycle management.
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD in program management, operational / service excellence, developing scalable, useable processes and standards
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an
- Experience with corporate events operations a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of the meetings and events industry including contract negotiation, budgeting, and event/venue management
- Demonstrated exceptional project management, organization and planning skills applied in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Proven decision making and problem-solving capabilities with strong follow up skills and attention to detail
- Can present ideas and provide direction that lead others to action. Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all level of the organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with exceptional ability to translate ideas and thoughts in written presentations
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
