Vision IT seeks the services of an IT Specialist 2, with an understanding of several FBI Strategic Information & Operations Center (SIOC) web applications. Provide technical consultation and serves as technical liaison for SIOC with FBI divisions, DOJ, and Dept. of Homeland Security. Delivers strategic operational support to FBIHQ divisions; provides ad hoc application development, server administration, and desktop support. Assist with duties as the Information Systems Security Officer; ensures the SIOC meets and exceeds FISMA standards to remain operational. Responsible for supporting and managing key FISMA duties for the SIOC, development and implementation of plans like; Systems Security Plan, Contingency Plan, Incident Response Plan, Security and the Controls Assessment. Manages and maintains numerous classified web-based applications, such as SIOC LAN and SIOC Watch Log, resulting in secure dissemination of intelligence and information to multiple users. Collaborate in planning and consolidating implementation of numerous upgrades of hardware and software for the FBI and SIOC.

Responsibilities May Include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Use diagnostic and help request tracking tools, hands-on help at the desktop level
  • Utilize software and hardware tools, to identify, and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance
  • Manages, develops, and plans migration of information systems from a 65-workstation facility to over 800 workstations on multiple enclaves using Windows 10 or newest operational systems
  • Responsible for the implementation and management of the Windows Server 2012/19, Active Directory infrastructure and security policies, management of various COTS/GOTS applications, and implementation and management of over 15 critical operations servers
  • Coordinates PC deployments and/or migrations to include, re-installing software, resetting user profiles and network settings, restoring end-user data from backups, tracking all moved PCs, investigate and resolve customer complaints
  • Research and provide follow-up actions utilizing Tracking Software to expedite satisfactory customer resolutions, trouble shoot hardware and or software problems on desktop PCs
  • Maintains Incident Ticket Management Program, conducts laptop audits, Tech Refresh, Active Directory assistance, Tech Dat Migration, Power Point presentations and configuration setups
  • Responsible for establishing software development procedures and processes to include building, testing, and installing developed software
  • Responsible for establishing systems to support software development to include a code repository and issue tracking system
  • Other included duties include migrations, processing applications to new hardware, new operating systems, and new ORACLE database software
  • Collects data out of automated systems and produces Configuration Requests for application engineers and programmers to utilize in the development of solutions to software integration
  • Establish "Best Practices" for software development projects utilizing estimation and application sizing methodologies
  • Installs, configures, and trouble shoots networked printers
  • Minimize downtime in high output environments preventing the potential loss of vital intelligence

Required Clearance, Experience, and Skills:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI access
  • Experience responding to client support requests; installing and maintaining computer hardware and computer peripherals; and installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software
  • Contractor shall have experience providing Tier 2/Tier 3 support for SharePoint 2013/2019 and SharePoint Online
  • 5-8 years' experience in Web, Database, and Application Design, Development, and Implementation of moderate to complex systems
  • 5-8 years of experience in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 5-8 experience with resolving desktop hardware and software issues

Desired Education:

  • BS/BA in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
