Summary:

Under general supervision, provides maintenance duties as required and distributes and dispatches incoming and outgoing mail/interoffice materials on a timely basis, runs errands and performs related clerical tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to customers and employees.
  • Performs general maintenance, and repair work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Performs scheduled maintenance and/or checks on furnaces, exit and emergency lights, and air conditioning units and thermostats for all locations.
  • Performs other maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, supply water and soda/drink coolers, setting up conference rooms for meetings, performing minor repairs on equipment and furniture.
  • Moves office furniture as required, both in office and storage locations. 
  • Ensures that the physical facility is safety compliant and follows correct safety procedures. For example, ensures trip/fall hazards are eliminated, wet floor warning signs displayed, etc.
  • Assists with vehicle maintenance including but not limited to, regular servicing/oil changes, monitoring of all fluid levels, including oil, transmission, brake, battery, coolant, tire air pressures, tire rotation, vehicle washing, and notifying appropriate supervisors when repairs are required, and re-fuel as necessary.
  • Performs landscape maintenance; landscaping beds mulched, weeds pulled, bushes/trees trimmed, etc. 
  • Receives, sorts, and delivers mail, messages, packages, documents, records, inter-office mail, and other items to offices or departments within the company or to other business concerns, as requested and directed by staff. Work closely with Branch Managers to ensure timely, confidential delivery of the pieces intended within the Bank’s locations.
  • Makes trips to and from non-bank locations to deliver or pick up messages or small articles.
  • Discreetly courier cash/coin as instructed between the branch offices in a safe and secure manner.
  • Files, receives supplies, maintains records of supplies and performs other general clerical tasks relevant to the position.
  • Adheres to all State and Federal Banking regulations.

Education and/or Experience  

High school diploma or equivalent.


Language Skills                  

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.


Mathematical Skills                    

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


Reasoning Ability                     

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.


Computer Skills                      

Ability to effectively navigate and operate the payroll and billing/expense software utilized within the bank.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Requires a valid driving license and a good driving record.


Other Skills and Abilities                    

Basic knowledge and dexterity of hand tools.


Other Qualifications                      

Must be able to travel between bank locations using company vehicle.
