Producto Electric Corp (PECO) provides an extensive line of premium-quality electrical construction products to service commercial, industrial, and residential electrical distributors.
Our client, Producto Electric Corp, is looking for an onsite Controller to join their team in the Orangeburg, NY office. Reporting to the CEO, the Controller oversees the day-to-day accounting operations (AP/AR, Payroll) of the company.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, attentive, and efficient. They can complete work skillfully and independently as well as work with current processes and organize workloads.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting transactions including cash receipts, cash disbursements, customer credit analysis, monthly general ledger closing, preparation of monthly financial reports, weekly payroll, and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Manage cash flow
- Responsible for all insurance and Real Estate matters
- Manage annual audit
- Manage banking relationships
- Work closely with CEO on strategic planning
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Business Administration is required, CPA or CMA a plus
- 5 years of experience as a Controller/Accounting in a manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of general ledger transactions
- Understanding of manufacturing job costing
- Strong knowledge and understanding of state and federal payroll/tax laws
- Strong business acumen, work ethic and communication
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, partners, etc.
- A valuable record of improving financial results
- Strong knowledge of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Program); ERP implementation a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required
