ABOUT THE JOB:
The Human Resources Generalist will work in collaboration with the Human Resources Business Partners and in partnership with the operational leadership team(s) to successfully support all human resources related functions in their assigned Vista Care locations.
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the daily functions of the HR department, including but not limited to: enforcing company policies and procedures, providing employee relations and engagement support, assisting with benefits administration and related employee questions, worker's compensation, OSHA reporting and compliance, maintaining employee records and other activities as assigned. The HR Generalist role is responsible for delivering value-added service that reflects Vista Care's mission, vision, and values.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Director of Employee Relations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
$24.51-27.88 hourly, depending on experience.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Work Schedule: Full Time; standard work week is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm
- Location/Travel: Onsite in Sheboygan, WI.
The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Director of Employee Relations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting from HRIS and other systems
- Monitoring HR phone line and email
- Assist on-site with access to corporate office and addressing visitors to HR Department
- Provide excellent customer service to employees who reach out to or stop in for support from HR Department
- Partner with Operations Leaders on Worker's Comp claims
- Administer and manage employee leave requests
- Maintain company org charts and records
- Complete employee relations investigations as assigned
- Assist with drafting routine disciplinary action documents, performance improvement plans, etc
- Attends ANE debriefs
- Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation
- Other duties as assigned
- HS Diploma or GED required
- A college, or university degree or the equivalent is preferred. Degree in Human Resources, Human Services, or a similar field preferred
- One (1) to three (3) years of human resource or similar field experience is preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Clear background check in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Vista Care's best practices
- Consistently demonstrates effective decision-making abilities, strong communication skills, and computer literacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Vista Care's HRIS and talent management systems
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Day travel required and some overnight travel may be expected.
