JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engineering support for Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) Trunking with the Avaya Platform
• SIP Design support for the Enterprise Wide voice solution
• Define Remote site connectivity options with Hubs/Main sites
• Redundancy and COOP architecture for SIP Trunks
• Best practices for configuration and testing of call routing for SIP Trunking
• Define requirements in ordering SIP Trunks and DIDs for sites
• Best practices for porting and migration of DIDs
REQUIRED QUALIFCATIONS & EXPERIENCE & CLEARANCE
- Minimum 10 of hands-on experience in the networking field
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering or science or other fields, experience can be substituted for lack of a degree
- Industry certifications such as CCIE (written and/or lab), CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CISSP etc., are desired but not required
- Superior written/oral communication skills and problem solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels
- Strong initiative: must be able to take a high-level requirement, ask questions/seek clarifications, and get the job done
- Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment
- Must work well in a team environment as well as independently
