POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the order fulfillment process in a courteous and efficient manner. Build, maintain and grow customer relationships and coordinate company client engagements. Ensure customer satisfaction and be their advocate within a busy and growing nutritional supplement contract manufacturer. Will work directly with key clients in developing and implementing new product ideas from initial concept through distribution. Will manage customer sales and margin performance against quarterly and annual budgets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Build, maintain and enhance the customer connection.
- Facilitate production operations and supply chain functions to assure a full delivery response.
- Order receipts, customer engagement verification.
- Managing quotations, customer-supplied raw materials and components, customer inquiries, and ship dates. Will work closely with Planning, Purchasing, Operations, and Logistics.
- Must be proactive in the identification of internal/external issues and communicate effectively to resolve any production challenges. Will understand customer profitability and develop ideas to maintain and increase gross margins.
- Daily interaction with staff and department managers.
- Some travel is required, possibly 4-6 times per year for client socializing and trade shows.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferable QAD.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. College Degree Preferred.
- Nutritional Supplement or related industry background is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience interfacing with clients.
