What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Teacher for Kids - 4 - 5 hrs/wk (Training provided) position at Viva el Español?
¡Viva el Español!, is a non-profit Spanish Language Program for children, teens and adults. We teach before and after school in the Bay Area and Marin County. We also offer summer camps, teen internships, private lessons and adult classes.
We are looking for creative, organized, and dedicated individuals that enjoy sharing their culture and language as a native Spanish speaker with our unique immersion approach.
Currently hiring part-time (4 – 5 hours per week) teachers for elementary and middle school students in Piedmont, Lafayette and Orinda school districts.
Job Requirements:
- Availability from 7:30-8:30 am
- Willing to commit to working from September through mid-June 2025.
- Read, write and speak fluently in Spanish - native Spanish speakers only
- Able to communicate in English
- Previous experience with children desirable
- Enthusiastic, engaging style!
- Demonstrates initiative, strong work ethic
- Responsible, punctual, dependable team player
- Organized, attentive to detail
- Reliable transportation
