Description
Vivalon is looking for Bus Attendants for our San Francisco Routes!
The Bus Attendant performs a variety of tasks to support the driver in providing safe and proper transportation for our adult clients with disabilities. We provide full training and an excellent team-oriented work environment. Starting pay is $19 an hour. This is a part-time position working approximately 20-24 hours a week.
Successful candidates will be able to:
- Supervise and assist clients in transit.
- Assist the driver in the proper loading and unloading of passengers.
- Know the appropriate use of securing devices for safety restraints, wheelchairs, and seat belts.
- Demonstrate understanding and empathy for persons with disabilities.
- Enjoy working with people of all ages and be sensitive to their needs.
- Display professional behavior when working with clients, co-workers, and community members.
- Follow all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Report any client concerns to the driver and the appropriate management staff.
- This Safety Sensitive position requires the ability to pass a background check.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Friendly & reliable plus excellent customer service skills and a desire to help others
- Provide 2 professional references
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing consistent with federal law throughout employment
