Vive Adolescent Care in St. George, Utah is looking for an experienced Cook to join our kitchen crew!
This position is part-time: Friday 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm and Sunday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm with flexibility to help out when kitchen staff are absent or on vacation.
The Cook will be responsible for:
· Cooking meals and preparing dessert without assistance for an average of 30-40 people per meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
· Prepping food items as needed
· Assuring that clients get accurate meals, including special diets
· Maintaining proper food and equipment temperatures
· Properly washing soiled dishes and keeping food prep area organized
Additional requirements include:
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
· Self-motivated and self-directed
· Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift
· Able to bend and kneel through shift
· Possess a current certificate for CPR
· Must pass a background check and drug screen
· Able to read and write
1 year experience of in working in a hospital kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
