Project Manager

Vizrt creates leading-edge content production tools for the digital media industry, from award-winning 3D maps & graphics to integrated video workflow solutions and publishing tools. Vizrt has customers in more than 100 countries worldwide including BBC, CNN Fox, OBS, ZDF, ORF, TV4 and the list keeps growing.

The mission of a typical Vizrt project is to perform an initial or incremental system implementation and setup of a solution to help our customers to achieve their business objectives through professional delivery of Vizrt software and services.

Project Manager

The project manager has the overall responsibility for the project delivery. The project manager is responsible for making sure that the project is delivered in a successful way; according to contract, on time, on budget and with the right quality. The project manager acts as a supplier to the customer and a customer to the internal organization. The PM is responsible for ordering both development work and professional services work (design, documentation, installation etc.). The project manager reports any major deviations or limitations that will impair the project.

What you will do

• Successfully deliver the project according to the contract and time line
• Define and control project scope throughout the project, manage scope deviations and change request procedure
• Create, control and update the project budget including estimation of cost. Full cost control for the project (internal and external costs).
• Take over project communication: customer communication, project status reports, presentation to various stakeholders
• Act as the main contact point for the customer in all matters related to the project.
• Plan, monitor and control risks and document these
• Define and estimate project activities, create and update the project time plan.
• Support Sales organization with sales activities, initial project planning and back office tasks.
• Manage a project delivery team

What you will bring:

• Qualified degree in business administration, computer science, Computing and Digital Media, Media and Communications or equivalent
• Significant experience delivering complex projects in a technical leadership or project management role
• Excellent knowledge in project management methodologies and tools, agile project delivery methods
• Certified project managers welcome (PMI, IPMA)
• Experience with process, change and test management
• Ability to plan and manage complex project timelines
• Strong sense of responsibility, cost awareness
• Solution oriented operation, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
• Team leading with skills to motivate and organize the delivery team
• Knowledge in a professional broadcast business is preferable
