Position Description
Client is seeking an AWS Data Engineer who can bring in expertise and industry standard methodologies to define better development.

This role can be performed from Hartford, CT, Cary, NC, New Brunswick, NJ, New York City, NY, Philadelphia, PA or Lafayette, LA.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Work with a technical development team and team lead to understand desired application capabilities.
Continuously improve software engineering best practices.
Work across Agile teams to test and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies.
Develop applications in AWS - data and analytics technologies including but not limited to Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, S3, VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM.
Develop lifecycles, & continuous integration/deployment practices.
Perform integration open-source components into data-analytic solutions.
Work with vendors to improve tool capabilities to meet enterprise needs.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Candidate should possess 7 years of total experience with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, S3, VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Teradata SQL and experience in either TPT or BTEQ utilities.
Proficient in any of the following programming languages such as (Python, Scala, or Spark).
Prior Healthcare Industry experience needed.
Experience in ETL / Data application development and version control systems such as Git.
Desired qualifications:
Dedicated team player who can lead a project and have worked on large-scale applications.
Develop test protocols or plan for testing revised application and review test results.
May mentor less experienced technical staff and use high end development tools to assist or facilitate development processes.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
