FINANCE & OPERATIONS MANAGER
We are seeking a highly motivated, full-time Office Manager to support various departments at VMSI Headquarters in Sterling, VA. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, extremely organized, be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently, and can interact effectively with internal team members, clients, and vendors.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Serve as the right-hand person to Vice President/FSO with simple to complex tasks; research solutions; presents findings and makes recommendations.
· Provides overall administrative support to the Operations department in the corporate office.
· Responsible for full cycle bookkeeping to include, but not limited to, account receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger balancing.
· Contacts vendors and agencies to ensure corporate compliance, investigates and resolve accounting related issues, etc.
· Assists with tax planning, payments, and inquiries.
· Compiles data, tracks metrics and generates reports using a variety of data sources.
· Monitors vendor deliverables and schedules to ensure deadlines are met and milestones are achieved.
· Supports contract management & vendor agreement activities as assigned.
· Track and maintain corporate property logs.
· With VP, develop SOP for all business operations functions.
· Assists Facility Security Officer with administering all aspects of security program.
· Coordinates and processes employee security forms for all background and clearance levels.
· Researches and solves moderate to complex personnel and NISP-related security issues.
· Participate in other projects as requested by management.
Required:
· 3-5 years’ progressive experience in a fast-paced small to medium sized business.
· At least 2 years of GOVCON (Government Contractor) most recent experience preferably with a small to medium sized company supporting an array of administrative and financial tasks and projects.
· Expertise in MS Office Suite of products.
· Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively, written and spoken, with leadership and peers.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a high-performing team member.
· Exercise independent judgment in the prioritization of tasks while assuming responsibility and accountability.
· Ability to spearhead multiple projects and support payroll, security, vendor contracts, etc. simultaneously.
· Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
· Desired experience/exposure in some or all: Finance (AP/AR), Business Operations, General Office Administration/Management.
· Prior military experience highly desired.
