What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at VNSW At Home?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists Human Resource Recruiter in all employee life cycle talent need.
- Coordinates human resource procedures to initiate benefits for all eligible employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, DBL FSA/HRA. Completes 6-month assessment of benefits eligibility for HHAs.
- As required provides benefits orientations, enrollments, processing status and pay changes and inputs terminated employees into COBRA system on a timely basis.
- Prepares initial employee files, ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
- Prepares verifications, I9 status, CHRC, licenses and other required documents in the initial employee file. May be required to file on-going documents to maintain accuracy of employee file.
- Completes monthly exclusion searches.
- Administers Agency’s Workers Compensation and DBL/FMLA program providing support to managers and employees as needed.
- Track tuition reimbursement requests. .
- Process terminations/status changes for all applicable systems.
- Tests and reviews bi-yearly pension hours and status for eligible employees working with payroll and enters eligible employees in the plan on January and June of each calendar year. Informs employee of plan entry either by email or letter as soon as eligibility is confirmed. .
- Administers all pension plans including 403B, 401K, Money Purchase Plans for all agencies.
- Establishes and generates all employee compliance document processes which includes documents due, HERDS Report, flu season reports or any other required compliance report.
- Notifies and tracks staff and manager compliance concerning regulatory compliance documents. Updates ADP system and files documents. Runs reports, distributes and provides regular status updates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA required in human resources, business management, management or other related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of human resource experience preferred.
- Demonstrated strong verbal skills.
- Homecare/Healthcare experience a plus. .
- Ability to run ADP Workforce Now Reports.
