Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and experienced School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist who can effectively provide remote speech and language services to students in a school setting. As a Remote School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in conducting assessments, providing therapy, and collaborating with educators to support students' communication needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication skills and identify areas of need.
- Provide virtual speech-language therapy sessions to students through video conferencing platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with specific goals and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students' speech and language needs in the educational setting.
- Monitor students' progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as necessary.
- Provide consultation and support to teachers regarding classroom strategies and accommodations for students with communication difficulties.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and IEP meetings.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in speech-language pathology and implement them in daily work.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Previous experience working as a school-based speech-language pathologist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using virtual platforms and technology for remote assessments and therapy sessions.
- Knowledge of special education processes and regulations.
- Strong understanding of communication disorders and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
