Ventev Mobility, a division of VoiceComm, is a well-established manufacturer in the wireless industry and has an exciting opportunity for a Electronic Lab Technician. We are focused on building innovative, high quality accessory products designed and built by our team. We sell into retail, b2b and online channels with customers such as Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Verizon, AT&T and many more!
The Electronics Lab Technician will focus on accessories for mobile devices and will be instrumental in the testing and design recommendations of those products.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform testing on AC and DC chargers, battery/charger systems, cables, wireless, and other electrical and mechanical products
- Perform and analyze product tests utilizing established procedures and equipment
- Record and Analyze data and fail modes
- Evaluate product design by assembling and disassembling products
- Make recommendations for product improvements based on test results
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems for new product development, benchmarking, and defective returned product
- Evaluate, re-design and update testing protocols and fixtures, as needed
- Create/Design new test procedures as a result of new product designs
- Provide design input into product design reviews
- Manage multiple priorities and direct work to meet due dates
- Manage calibration and maintenance of test equipment
- Run and maintain 3D printer and prototype assembly
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Understanding of AC and DC circuits, ideally with PCB and component level aptitude
- Capable of reading basic electrical schematics, as well as reading and following technical procedures to conduct tests on electronic devices such as AC to DC chargers, DC to DC chargers and batteries
- Ability to evaluate testing protocols and recommend improvements
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Passion for being part of creating products that delight the users

- Ability to train others in testing methodology
- Detail oriented
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Manage multiple priorities and work to due dates, ability to plan and prioritize
Education and Experience
- Experience working in matrixed organizations and with cross functional teams
- Minimum 2-year degree in electronics engineering technology or similar testing degree
- 2 years’ relevant experience
- Experience using test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, electronic load machines, force gauges, and other electrical/mechanical equipment
- Experience using LabVIEW or similar software
Preferred Experience
- Experience programming LabView software
- Ability to understand and utilize wireless testing equipment
- Soldering skills and aptitude for building basic electrical and mechanical testing fixtures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 per year
