We are currently searching for experienced Housing Inspectors to support our Program Management Team located in Dallas, Marengo, Perry, and Wilcox Counties, Alabama.
Inspector - This is a Temporary position with a minimum of 30 days working 7 working days a week. Pay will be provided at an hourly rate based off hours worked and includes an incentive structure based off completed files.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform damages assessment inspections for ADECA-DR program
- Scope of work includes meeting with homeowners to inspect damages, taking photographs, getting measurements and gathering facts to communicate with estimators with a smart device
- Provide photos, sketches, field notes, and reports to estimators in Xactimate
- Review environmental reports and complete environmental questionnaires
- Required a minimum of 2 files per day approved by the client
What you need to have:
- Must have a basic knowledge of Xactimate
- Strong background in construction and material identification required
- Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities and work well under pressure
- Must be able to provide tools: 17ft ladder, tape, flashlight, circuit tester.
- You must have reliable transportation and the ability to carry your equipment and ladder
- Must have great customer service skills and appropriate work attire is required
- Decision making skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Analytical and proactive file handling skills
- Proficient computer & typing skills - working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
